Circle Dance and Dance Therapy for Talented Children with Disadvantages and Special Needs

At the meeting points of different cultures, a unique quality is born. That what we can experience when sacred round dance, dance therapy, and talent development meet overlap. The study aims to present project operated by Budapest 10th district Educational Consultant Team with support Hungarian National Talent Program. program, named Square-Dance-Theatre-Scene, was started as an experiment, integrating 12–14-year-old students, including psychologists, drama experts, art therapists, teachers. In paper, therapeutic workshop described analyzed, which part this broader management program. preceded outline underlying tripartite theoretical background: workshop’s group dynamics are analyzed movement therapy methods. archaic roots related approach also displayed. Finally, SWOT-type summary work process given, both project’s strengths weaknesses.
